Information is scarce in the boxing situation but from the sound of it neither boxer in question is trans. I don't know what to make of it. Scarcity of information in this case means I'm gonna keep my mouth shut.

Now that I know Imane Khelif was born a biological female and is cisgender, it makes me pretty upset at all the folks expressing outrage at her victory and participation in the Olympics. You can't have it both ways. If she's a woman with a genetic condition that means she has more testosterone, then a) SHE'S A WOMAN, LEAVE HER THE FUCK ALONE and b) boxing is probably the one way she can avoid all the BS and here everyone is shitting on her.

THIS IS NOT A TRANS ISSUE.

These two fighters complied with the rules and thus were allowed to compete and win. No reason to attack them for doing exactly what was required to meet the fairness standard. But the line that distinguishes what is and is not fair competition is still open to debate.

Some people are also born to be a lot taller than other people. So unfair.

Women's sports is inherently different in that it limits who can participate based on physical characteristics. No way around that.

Like I said, there is always going to be these incredibly rare outliers that make it difficult. Not a big deal in most cases except in international sports.

I would find some girls with XY chromosomes and train them up to be like Ivan Dragos from Rocky IV. slaying Appologirls left and right.

Just hearing, the olympics stopped doing gender testing in 2000.since that time, its been legal and allowed for trans people to take part and qualify, for any event,
there's around 10,500 athletes at the olympics each time, and in 24 years, theres been 2 trans people took part in events. two.
One came 37th out of 42 and the other came dead last.

So out of over 70,000 athletes since 2000, two have been trans people.

what the fuck is the problem? why are people complaining?

That’s not factually accurate, but the number of openly trans competitors is relatively small. The number of Y-chromosome DSD athletes is unknown and is what the complaints are generally about.

Easily provocative campaign issue.

Trumpers believe anything they want to hear and ample proof to the contrary is entirely irrelevant.

Just like having blind faith in God, hence that baffling cross-pollination and cult-like allusions to Trump being as close to Jesus as possible.

And God™ doesn't make gender mistakes.

What's a valid number where it becomes something people are allowed to talk about? Can it be a problem for those few unfortunate women who are unlucky enough to have to compete with them?

I don't know what it's like to know that your gender doesn't match your physical sex, but apparently 1 out of every 20 people do. I suspect it took more introspection than, "hey, wouldn't it be fun to be a girl?"

Not that, but something isn’t adding up:
