got my ass off the couch at 8am and went to play 9 holes in the cold and wind..stopped at the grocery store afterwards and picked up one jelly filled donut as a gift to myself..now i won't feel bad sitting on the couch in front of the tv for the rest of the day

Was in FedEx Office earlier to drop off a package. A lady, maybe in her late 50s/early 60s, was standing near a printer with an employee, while calling someone on her phone (on speaker, so the employee could hear). She asked the person on the other end of the line, “what is your fax number for me to send you this information?” And I hear the other person say, “we usually just email those things”. i think about stuff like this happening to me when i'm older with advanced tech that i never end up grasping.

i'm of the mindset that i should be put out to pasture when it happens.

I’m in my early 40s and there’s just some things about tech I just already don’t give a shit about whatsoever. Can’t imagine what I’ll be like in 30 years. Hopefully just living in a mountain cabin and eating beans from a can.

Yep, I am pretty keen to get my own space in the future. Perhaps not totally "off grid" but damn near the edge at least. Wander around my land without pants on, grumbling at shit.
