Which bootleg are you listening to?

Welp, through almost 4 shows of the opening of the 2006 tour. Toronto 2 is so much better than Toronto 1. The opening night shows are never great, but after playing letterman and irving plaza, I really thought at the time this would be a great show, that is were the 2nd night comes in. I attended Albany and Hartford with a friend, so my thoughts might be biased. But Albany was a great tour show, it starts out rough, but I only gets better as it goes on. The first encore where Ed talks about the fans and the band is truly a great moment. Ed started talking alot more in 2003, but 2006 is where he really started talking with the crowd IMO. The band killed it in Albany after a weird 2003 show, which I was also at, which was very short. The band seemed to be having so much fun when this tour began.

Hartford doesn't get much love because the setlist was short and i remember people waking after the show with people saying they expected and epic 3- hour show on a Saturday night with B-sides and covers. I'll say this, it's a better played show than Albany IMO. The last 4 songs before the encore break take up almost 40 minutes of the show! Which maybe made the encores short, that and it was like 45 degrees at showtime. No one ever talked about how cold it was lol.

On to Chicago tomorrow!

Yesterday was the 15th anniversary of that Albany show, which I decided at the last minute to drive out to from Rhode Island with a friend. It ended up being really great and well worth it. If they played there again, I would make the drive.

I would go back too. It's sad that they never went back to Albany, after 2006, there are just places they never went back to. The crowd was great too, a mix of people from NY, Boston and Canada.

The Albany show in ‘06 is the only show that tour I attended, but man was that show fun. It just felt like they could play anything that night. I had no idea what was next and there just seemed like so much energy.

Yeah - his throat was really bothering him. I changed shows around SOLAT yesterday. Finishing it up now. So far, I think the Detroit 1 show has him in the funniest of the foul moods on this Tour. He was playfully pissy in Bristow. I got a good laugh at the WMD joke that runs through the Dallas show.

How many shows did you get to see on this one?

I saw 6 shows. Some of the best I’ve seen

Cleveland, Iowa, Fargo, St. Paul, alpine, Chicago

I believe he was battling a cold at the St. Paul show and he was super annoyed with the audience. Didn’t think we were participating enough. Not enough of jamily for him that night I guess. Turned out to be a great show though

thats such a blurry tour for me. I think i listened to all of it maybe? but remember just a few things.

It's my favorite of all the tours since 2006. Yeah, the LB songs get old fast, but the band was dialed in for the Euro and US legs, and Ed sounds great at times. Lots of great shows and great performances all around. Also the last tour where "Corduroy" was played correctly.

thats such a blurry tour for me. I think i listened to all of it maybe? but remember just a few things.

It's my favorite of all the tours since 2006. Yeah, the LB songs get old fast, but the band was dialed in for the Euro and US legs, and Ed sounds great at times. Lots of great shows and great performances all around. Also the last tour where "Corduroy" was played correctly.
