I guess it's not my job to defend that sort of thing anymore.

I would probably do the same thing if I had such a public profile and had the money. I've been bald since I was 23.

Yeah, I don't blame him. But it's just one more thing he'll get made fun of for.

What kind of impact do you think his new diet and slimmer frame will have on this season?

That's probably his way of declaring he's done playing at the 4. For now.

Or he just wants to have a little less weight on his legs.

Sure.

As for his season, I have no idea what impact will be from the weight loss, but I fully expect him to have the best regular season of his career thus far. I actually thought that midway through last season when I still assumed he would be in Miami. It was obvious he was frustrated with Miami's strategy to just survive the regular season to focus on the playoffs, especially when KD (deservedly so) took his MVP away from him. He wants that trophy back and he's going to get it. Maybe even DPOY, too.

The new team, along with Durant's somewhat strange offseason will lead to another MVP for Lebron I'm sure.

I don't think I know what you're talking about with KD. I know there was the UA/Nike stuff...and he said something about possibly wanting to play for Washington I think. Is that what you mean?

I don't think he can put up the offensive numbers required for MVP AND expend the vast amount of energy it will require for him to play DPOY defense on such a shitty team defensively. That level of effort for 82 games would be astounding.

If it's not LBJ or KD, who is most likely to win MVP?

I suppose Chris Paul would be the logical answer, but does anyone expect him to be healthy for more than 60 games? Paul George is off the table. Derrick Rose's shot needs some serious work. The Spurs are too evenly balanced to have a real candidate. I guess Blake Griffin could be a solid choice if Chris Paul misses his annual time due to injury.

Honestly, this could be a season where we see someone come seemingly out of nowhere and winning it.

Jordan will come out of retirement and win it. It's shocking, but it's not

I disagree. I mean, obviously, since I just predicted LeBron will have his best regular season yet lol.
