And the round is closed. No doubt these are all wrong, but at least nothing is within two votes.

Dsb1218 (Varis was strong, but DSB has my favorite team in the tournament)
Bart (Wins for Pulp, Matthew Sweet, and Depeche Mode)
Bugs (Tight match but Bugs was strong across the board, including an impressive array of rap)
Bigredbetter (Although there were a few songs that weren’t tops in my book)
Farmer John (probably the closest match in this round)

An "abstain" hurts more than a vote against.

I know how much it must have hurt to vote for teams that are so beneath you.

I promise you that isn't how I feel at all. It's more that it's difficult to choose between two teams where neither strongly appeals to me; it's not much fun.

Matched up against a guy who has Via Chicago and Rusty Cage? Tough draw for me! :shake:

I've lost count of the amount of tournaments that I've taken part in on this board, and I have always lost in the first round. This will no doubt be the same result in this tournament. I really suck at these.

Eh. All in good fun. We really could have done full albums for the 90s. So much good music in all genres.

You and I both. In truth the 90s was a 'lost decade' for me musically, which soubds kind of ridiculous posting from a Pearl Jam board, but I only got into PJ in the mid noughties. My 90s were spent in easy listenning limbo with git voccers galore and the likes of The Lighthouse Family and such shite. I actually have a hard time getting too excited about much of the stuff picked from the lot of us.

In the end I realise that my tastes just differ pretty strongly from the majority of RMers. Lucky that's not a bad thing, hey?!

I'm going for my usual shut-out here, ho hum. Voters - If you do nothing else though please at least give "How to Make Gravy" a listen. You'll still vote for dsb's better team I'm sure but I guarantee your life will be just a little bit better for the 5 minutes of your time.

Voting's just gravy. These tourneys are all about the drafting. That's the fun part.
