Voting as I hear the playlists. Got the first 4 taken care of

1. Numbers vs. Iholdthepain
Not really a fan of the strokes or the killers, and that postal service cover was pretty unessential, but there were a number of songs on here I like (dead leaves, bodysnatchers, ocean breathes salty), the band of horses song was good, 3 libras is great, and Wake Up was quite possibly going to be my first round pick. All or None was a weak pearl jam pick, but I won't hold that against him.

I hold the pain started really strong with Lateralus and Insignficance. Oresetes is a good APC song (Numbers beats him, though), and I liked the polyphonic spree song. the back half of IHTP's team didn't leave enough of an impression.

2. Bada vs. Farmer John

List of demands improved a lot on the second listen. Most of the 'the bands' were okay. My issue with Bada's team was that nothing on it stood out. A solid, albeit unspectacular mix. The problem is that his showpiece songs aren't really what I'm into.

Farmer John has one of my favorite teams in this. Revival was another possible first round pick. The Nick Cave song is amazing. And the rest of this was largely full of some solid songs from bands I wasn't familiar with, or some nice discoveries (like 3rd planet) from bands that I was. FJ could have the winning team.
Farmer John

Be back with the other two later.

'All or None' is a 6 star song. How can anyone not see that?? It truly baffles me.

"All Or None" always feels to me like it has all the makings of a great song but they botched it somehow and it came out dull and lifeless. Definitely my least favorite of the Pearl Jam slow-burners. The melody is so flatlined tedious.

I actually agree with plat on this. I don't dislike the song, but its toward the bottom of Riot Act IMO and I love Riot Act.
