its fun to throw out conspiracy theories for sports and the NBA in general but i look at it this way

when Donaghy was under fire for the gambling scandal I have to believe he would have sung like a canary that the NBA instructs the ref to favor players etc.

i do believe refs do favor players but because of interactions on the court and not from the NBA office. Yes the office wants certain teams to make the playoffs/finals just because it is big for ratings
