People need to eat.
Americans have dinner at like 5 PM
I blame sports for this. Teens have practice after school until 5. Younger kids usually have practice in the evening -7 onward depending on the sun. Varsity teens play games at 7. 5:30 is the sweet spot. It’s also why we’re obese. We get hungry again by 9 and make terrible decisions.
For me the obese thing is probably more due to the 6-7 beers that I take down during said kid’s game. Merica.

And I feel like a long break is coming. Between the Covid outbreak in May to Ed blowing his voice out in July and the constant complaining on stage about the Covid bubbles that they had to endure to keep the tour going. I can't see shows until 2024 with an election coming up. Hopefully Ed does some more dates with the Earthlings next year.

I've been expecting them to announce a tour down here for around Feb/March 2023 (going by previous patterns), but who knows at this point. As time goes on, that seems less likely.

It's been a long break, they haven't played here since 2014 - and that tour was festivals only, no headlining shows.

I think you're right that this year's touring experience must have been really frustrating for the band.

I suppose it all depends if this tour sated their appetite to play live again, after not being able to for two years. They could just as easily be itching to get back out.

I’ve got the same thoughts. I’d bet my Deep Newsletter collection he can’t wait to be home.
Like Jeff calls the shots lol.

I mean, they cancel shows when he can't make it. So at least he calls more shots than Matt!

It's good to see that fans are waiting in 5 hour lines to get shut out on merch, but the asshole ebay flippers somehow all get their hands on it

I'm not a poster guy but I was surprised how long they lasted at the B&B festival. The place was lousy with PJ fans and the dedicated PJ match line was long all morning long. But the posters lasted for a few hours.

If it’s any comfort, I was at Saturday’s Sea.Hear.Now and the merch line for that was impossible all day. Sadly made the call many years ago that I can’t miss out on the show itself to get the memento of it. Last Pearl Jam poster I bought was at MSG in 2003. Since then I have admired them from afar.

I like that “lousy with” phrase. Never used it myself. What part of the country is that from?

They’re never (or very rarely) going to play any of these songs again.

I'm just glad I saw two shows this week and they didn't play a cover.
