Currently conflicted as to which regional struggle to focus on, the establishment of Khalistan, the insurgency in Balochistan, or the plight of the Anglophone Cameroonians.

I'm pretty sure the only compromise is to bring them all in to establish the state of Jefferson, and they'll get along fine and effectively resist any incursions from the despised Newsonites and their equivalent Oregon kin.

Obviously can’t airlift the entire population out. But those at the airport are wasting their time while far far many more others have started the long walk to Europe. The airport is getting all the coverage though obviously.

Not pushing a narrative, but the more I consider it, the more I don't see any win here for 'Murca only mitigating losses. That doesn't excuse the fact they we failed to evacuate by the negotiated time (going months past) and look like fucking clowns doing it, hurting ourselves and our allies in the process. It's that at some point we need to acknowledge the sunk cost and get out.

I've seen more than a few, "its going better than could be expected" takes, which are bizarre.

On the topic of bizarre takes: claiming the Taliban captured stocks of MANPADS. We only funded their military to do COIN stuff. If Tajikstan chose to invade Afghanistan, we may very well have supported it, and certainly would not have armed the Afghans to in any way resist air power. Seems unlikely the Afghan defense ministry would send out RFQs for weapons systems they would have to pay for themselves.

The only thing that makes any sense was an old article talking about a C-RAM system in Kabul being described as an Afghan air defense system. Which it is, kinda. They blew up the one by the embassy when they decamped to the airport.
