Hanks is good in Ladykillers, but everything else about that movie is shit. Easily the worst.

See I didn't think Hanks was good. He somehow over-smarm'd a smarmy character, it felt very wooden and paint-by-numbers. Thinking of the Hanks debate in the movie tournament, it was absolutely a situation where I could see a different actor doing just as good or better of a job. But the majority of the cast was lackluster, J.K. Simmons gave probably the best performance but only by contrast.
