His dad did come out and complain about a bunch of shit. But I don't see how that makes Rasmus a dick; it makes his dad a dick, but Rasmus himself never really got involved in that.
Plus, the reputation he developed in St. Louis was based on things Tony Larussa said while trying to run him out of town. And Larussa has a history of that kind of thing. Larussa always talked about how Rasmus would only take advice from his dad and refused to listen to coaches, but we've pretty much seen the exact opposite in Toronto.
So what you're saying is Rasmus isn't a dick

No. I'm saying he made an overly aggressive slide one time and Tony Larussa is a dick.
Yeah, I remember him saying that Renteria would not do good in this market, and it was pretty accurate. He seemed overwhelmed by everything, and went back to being himself when he left for the most part. With Drew he basically said that Drew had decided to settle for 3 quarters of his talent being enough to get by. That wasnt a revelation when he said it, but it was still true.

He also had issues with a young Scott Rolen because he wasn't intense enough and lost his power due to an arm injury.
Yankee stadium pisses me off to no end, even when the Jays aren't losing games on what should be routine fly balls to right. There should at least be some kind of minimum dimensions for new fields. I started playing in a field with a deeper right field when I was 14.

its not the dimensions so much as the jet stream, RF power alley is actually deeper than PNC
and, thats bad broadcasting, Ichiro wasnt jammed at all, he hit that pretty good.
A very very very very small tiny microscopic part of me wishes he would be traded to a true contender so he can taste the postseason before his arm falls off someday.
