let's be honest, if george floyd's death hadn't been followed by the massive, nation-wide protests, we wouldn't see the same reactions as we're seeing from those on the right. the protects took the cop's chances of acquittal from about 50% to about 5% (or lower).
just wait until the attorneys ask to change venue to somewhere like idaho or wyoming.

we exalt cops and the profession and put them on pedestals like no others save for actors, musicians, and politicians. how many health-care workers that worked on the front lines that literally died as a result of trying to save patients have funerals in arenas preceded or followed by parades? how many do you hear about dying not in the line of duty but as a result of something else like we learned of cops' deaths from covid contracted off duty after reading about them in headlines?
perhaps if stopped treating cops like super heroes they wouldn't think that they're above the law.
