"With Pearl Jam, everybody is so good at what they do, it's hard to get up the courage to say, can I sing this part, or, I want to play guitar. I feel like I have more courage to do that." - Jeff Ament
"They [parents] said I could get a guitar if I took lessons, which I did..." - Mike McCready
They're completely atrocious, aren't they?
It's not like there are much better quotes to chose from.
It's not that they're unremarkable or dull, they're that too, it's that they don't make sense.
The Jeff quote for instance; at the beginning he's suggesting a reluctance to put his musical ideas and opinions forward because he feels everyone in the band is reasonably accomplished. All of a sudden, however, he now feels he can do that. Why? When did this change happen? Apart from Smile when did Jeff ever play guitar in the band?
Without any further context, it's utterly meaningless. It may as well read "I really enjoy sandwiches but the other guys are so good at making sandwiches that I don't make them. Now I make sandwiches."
If these were general, boring reflections on being a member of Pearl Jam and whatnot, that would be fine (if not terribly exciting). As it is, however, it's as though they're being selected by someone who has only a passing familiarity with the English language.
I think they just go with those without uhhhhms aahmmms eeehhhms to edit out. They're not left with much.

the next quote should be more along the lines of:
Ed: "Yeah... Jeff? He's a fuckin dick. Always just sitting there, quietly judging me in my mink coat. So what if it's fucking July, can't find a betterman ? deal with it. fucking bozos I gotta work with - wait, is this thing on?"

new "audio chronicles" up on the youtube - love boat captain
of course, PJ picks a version of the song (birmingham '03) that features a possibly sick eddie who sounds like complete shit. lots of work went into that choice, i'm sure

They just to rub the fact that PJ will never play there again in the face of everyone who lives there by not only publishing a video of a sick Ed performance, but one of the worst PJ songs (arguably the song that 'broke' the band).

Yes, arguably. Although, I bet there's an pretty decent argument for the fact that the band actually is, in fact, still together.
Quite the little factoid, eh?

each ownership interest in the LLC will probably pass to each member's estate and just keep churning in cash long after the sirens catch up with them
merchandising cash flow will subside (aside from cockring sales, which are a staple), but by then it will mostly be all about PJ songs in commercials
led zeppelin could barely hold out. kids these days associate 'rock n roll' as that song in the shitty cadillac commercial
10 -20 years from now, imagine what crappy (non-10C) products PJ tunes are slapped onto
Given to Fly in a US Airways commercial
Expedia blasting Why Go
the KKK featuring I Am Mine

What's so weird is that eventually most of the cockrings being sold won't even be sold to Pearl Jam fans; The 10C will just eventually develop a reputation for selling the highest quality cockrings at the most reasonable price on the market and things will take off from there. By 2034 more people will associate the name "Pearl Jam" with "High quality, affordable cockrings" than "Grunge survivors" (though "Grunge Survivor" will be the name of one of the most popular cockring designs they offer).

By 2034, I'm pretty sure we'll be getting Tenclub brand chewable Viagra.

It's a community - the kind of community that gives you cool stuff. It's almost like having your own personal fan club... Actually - they're a fan of YOU!
.....and more importantly - your money!

Well... no matter how high the barrel and how tepid and polluted the water, we'll still continue to reach for it, if just for a sip.
