Stay safe, east coasters.
When I was in Charleston last winter the tidal street flooding downtown seemed like it was an everyday occurance to businesses there, even on mild days. I can imagine what a storm surge would do and can only assume that’s the same all across the Carolina coast.

We're looking at 4-6" (as my wife calls it: "barely satisfying"). That much inland rainfall will be devastating even if it's no longer at tropical storm strength.
