There is no sadder song than Earle's tune for his son.

Little Rock N Roller left me in tears a few weeks ago.

George Jones is the king of country. That’s all.

Bob Wills might disagree.

Well, the honky tonks in Texas,…

Look up the Stones covering that one, that’s fun stuff.

I cannot recommend Weave Your Web Liar Man by Dan Spencer enough. Just great, great modern county. Maybe more Americana?, but exquisite.

I’ll check this out.

I got a few books for Christmas and one them is The Grand Tour: The Life and Music of George Jones. It’s pretty fantastic. I’m just getting to about 1968 - 1973 or so. What a fucking animal this guy was. Wild to hear how the crowds demanded him so much at his shows, he’d come and rip a few lines and then go backstage and let the crowd go nuts. He did it multiple times. That had to be amazing to watch.

Off to see Colter Wall tonight. 2,000 seat venue. Should be a good one.

If he doesn't play 'Sleeping on the Asphalt' you should get your money back.

Seriously, have a great time and report back.

He did actually play it. The show was fantastic. He’s got a killer band with him, they sounds so good. Cool little venue that sounded amazing.

Plus the lead guitar player looked like Mitch Hedberg which was cool.

I think I went through his whole discography yesterday. The dude can write some fantastic songs. I probably added 20 songs to my all time playlist. Little Songs is close to a perfect album. And the self titled starts off with a crazy 4-5 song run.

He just cancelled the rest of his tour due to his mental health. Fuck I hate that for him.

I’ve got some friends that listen to this and they never said a fucking word to me man.

Her 2 albums that are available are both perfect. The 2 independent releases are fantastic.

Eagerly anticipating the arrival of her Live at Third Man LP. What a treat she’s been in my life lately.

And her Tiny Desk, cmon man.

She has to be one of the "best kept secrets" in music. No one ever talks about her. It's wild.

Keep it that way, she’s such a delight.

Luke Bell is still on heavy rotation for me too. Familiar?
