I am glad there is not a ton of complaining here. I was very satisfied so far this season. I feel like any time anything comes close to wrapping up in this society, there’s some massive cultural conflict even though we are not in control of the final product. Not everything requires outrage.

There are certainly things I don't like, starting with the decision to end it in 13 episodes, which then leads to almost all my complaints which are things are too rushed. Seeds were planted that Danny might turn mad, but when she did, it was quick. Similar to Anakin Skywalker, he was a good guy one scene, and a few later a child murderer. It was jarring, and I think GOT has been the same way these last two seasons, but I'm still enjoying it.

It's not about what we want or hope for. It's that the characters behave and react in ways that are true to their natures and honor the time we've spent with them.

It certainly can be, but I know several people that have been flat out cheering for Dany for years, and that were really sad after the last episode.

Personally I think her past is littered with unjustified or needlessly brutal killings, and also statements about what brutal ways would lead her to the throne.

Many complained that the Anakin turn was poorly done, and people are now doing the same with Dany.

If you knew nothing about SW, then watched TPM, AOTC, then ROTS, Anakin is a good guy for 3/4 of the entire prequel. One minute he has a lightsaber to Palpatine's head, then 10 minutes later he is murdering kids. It's jarring, especially if you view it from the perspective that you do not know Anakin will turn to DV. Danny's path is similar. She knows nothing, then becomes a very strong figure with strong advisors (Anakin had Yoda, Ben, and Palp). They both have shown flashes of bad behavior (like saying she'll burn cities to the ground to sit on the iron throne and crucifying people, or Anakin murdering Sand People and his fear of losing things). Nonetheless, both seem like good people (freed slaves / hero of the clone wars), then rather quickly (minutes in screen time) they both completely fucking lose it. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I see the similarities in their character, and the perceived jarring turn of each.

If you knew nothing about Star Wars...I’ll accept an alien coming to earth with no knowledge, starting at episode 1 and he might have no knowledge. The whole idea is the prequels came after the ot. To explain Vader and his rise from Anakin.
