Well, You Are sounds amazing live the few times I've heard it and it's at least distantly related. This could go either way but at least Ed should be able sing the damn thing.

The chorus sounds like a pre-chorus. You think it's going to take you somewhere and then it just... doesn't

"I can’t tell you how proud I am about this group of songs. As you know, we took our time and that benefited us taking more chances. “Dance” was a perfect storm of experimentation and real collaboration, mixing up the instrumentation and building a great song, and Ed writing some of my favorite words yet, around Matt’s killer drum pattern. Did I mention Mike’s insane guitar part and that Stone is playing bass on this one? We’ve opened some new doors creatively and that’s exciting."
This didn’t deserve a bottom page.
This quite excites my loins.

The chorus is my favorite part! "Expecting perfection leaves a lot to ignore" It's soaring and cathartic, I quite like it.

it's pretty instructive how i'm listening to this on spotify. after each time i play it, a different shuffled pearl jam song comes on, and it's startling how different the head space is with DOTC. you finish that and then elderly woman comes on and you get whiplash. great sign for a band 30 years in.

Full credit to them for doing something new and not rehashed.

Okay, this is pretty wonderful. If half the songs on the album were written with this kind of collaboration we’re all in for a treat.

I know shit about production and such, but this sounds Binaural-esque to me. Played live, maybe a cousin of sorts to Insignificance.

Fire things makes more sense to me. Just a bunch of dude Bros swinging dick and shooting guns.
