I think there are hundreds of 90s movies I would pick ahead of it.
If you look at reviews or scores around the web, they mostly seem low.
Don’t see what Avatar has to do with it?

But again it’s got nothing to do with Avatar. Just nowhere near the best 90s movie.

The audience score is from rt, the other score is from imdb. I always look at the audience score over the professional critics.
Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas, Forrest Gump, The Silence Of The Lambs, Unforgiven, Fargo, The Shawshank Redemption, LA Confidential, Seven, The Matrix, Schindler’s List, Terminator 2, Fight Club etc. A great decade for movies.
