Only slightly. Beth is one of the more complex female characters in the show but that's not saying much. She's much better than Monica, whose only options seem to be "nag Kayce" or "give a tumblr lecture," but she's still pretty one-dimensional and her motivations are often bizarre or cartoonish, sometimes as a result of being revealed way too long after the fact. This show gets off on withholding and suffers for it.

I found it overall to be fascinating in the way much bad art is. Looking forward to S5.

I wish they didn't give Monica a new reason to be miserable for another season lol.
