id love to but arthritic hip and ankle are acting up (like most the time). i have been doing workouts on the interactive treadmills at the gym

Elliptical is a safe choice, too. I actually prefer that to the treadmills.

My favorite weather site is AccuWeather because it has portions of the word "accurate" in it. That implies accuracy.

one of my all time favorite jobs was a paid internship in 1989 at the local nbc news station in Denver in the weather department...I had been minoring in meteorology in college...so much fun for about 1 year

I was just based in the studio and mostly on the phone checking on snow amounts along I-70 mostly around the Eisenhower tunnel and did some thunderstorm tornado stuff...I just reported to the weather guys..got a few moments of air time

its tucked away somewhere on a vhs tape...funny thing, when I knew I might be on I would call my dad to let him know..he would hit the record button and I would do the old carol burnet thing and pull my ear lobe to give him a shout out...

so i just found this out last month (cant remember if i shared it here or not)

when you see your local weather man say there is a 60% chance of it raining what that actually means is 60% of the viewing audience will see rain

WTF does this even mean? If you don’t see it, it’s not raining? That’s like that dumbass Trump logic of the only reason so many people have Covid is because we’re testing so many people. If you don’t test, you won’t have Covid.

there is a 50% chance of rain for the day

50% of the people in those 8 counties will see rain
