God yes he does. He says he hates drumming now. It’s too tiring.

So I saw Ty three times in three nights a week ago. Bought a painting (by him) and got him to sign two setlists and a bunch of records I'd brought with me. It was glorious and he's a sweetheart.

Man, that’s awesome. He’s always seemed pretty down to earth and super nice. How were the shows? Solo?

First show was superb, second show was so so and the third show was the best of the three. Definitely a study in how a band feeds off audience energy.
They played three new songs at each show and they're all pretty promising - hopefully there's a new record not far off.
I wondered the same thing when the tour was announced - because I would love to see him play an acoustic set - but it was with his current band (Kelly, Cronin, Boye and Burrows).

Oh yeah I remember you mentioning that when the tour was announced. Happy to hear they were good overall shows. I’d love to catch him but I think he’s skipping Chicago. Maybe for a festival. Idk. And I’m always happy to hear new Ty.
Dude, I got to see him solo acoustic, in the round. We just sat on the “stage” in between sets, the platform was maybe 6x10’ or so. That show was so incredible. I wish I could find a tape. William Tyler opened and before he started playing he was setting up and he knocked his guitar off the stand and it was going to ground and I just casually reached out and caught it while drinking a beer. He looked at me like a saved his child.
