I can't imagine that they'd play Ohana, disappear and then take another 4 years to make a album.
Especially with a new drummer.

So...I'm guess No.13 will be out Winter 2027 and tour planned for Spring & Summer

It takes at least three months to turn on all the lights at their headquarters. I'm guessing early 2028 at the absolute earliest, but there should be some touring next year to pay the bills.

i think Ed said in an interview once they need a new album in order to tour otherwise much harder to book venues

Interesting they all stated they liked the Andrew Watt experience. But want to try something different this time around.

The reason I was hoping they went back to Watt was how quickly it was all done.

Really thought Dark Matter pumped some new life into them & I totally expected them to make another album right away.
I guess Matt's departure threw a wrench into those plans
As far as the new drummer
It just doesn't make sense to bring in a new member and not make an album right away
If they don't hit the studio right away following Ohana or don't have an album in the can already...
I'll be very surprised.
If they don't have an album or at least an EP in 2027.
It may be a clear sign that PJ is now just a touring jukebox

listened to an interview with him online in like Feb of last year - was before he resigned from the band - the way he was answering questions about the experience was less than enthusiastic ... how they assembled quickly and had to fly in, the initial drums set was not good ... stuff like that
