I recommend his talk with Rick Beato. It made me make amends with him after all these last years and LB
The best Beato interview so far. No question.

Granted I haven't been following the band's live performances but that's the first time I've seen modern-day Ed tap into his mid-90s nasal vocal delivery

I also wore the shit out of the "Chapters" bootleg version back in the day, it was probably my favorite track on there.

I took my daughter Sunday for her 10th bday.
Honestly, Alanis KILLED. I was not expecting her voice to be as strong as it still is. Very entertaining - my 10 y/o daughter was delighted. I was really hoping PJ would find a way to collaborate with her on one at least one song in each of their sets, circa the way they did with Brandi Carlisle in 2021 (my last Ohana). I figured they could tie in a tribute to Taylor Hawkins, talking about surfing at Dana Point and their bands' collective connections. Sadly, no collab nor tribute.
A few random thoughts about the PJ set below.......
Going from an epic Garden into Off He Goes? Momentum killed for the bleacher creatures. Last Exit is a weird 3rd song, though the thought of Ohana being 3 days, not a second longer was not lost on me.
PJs set... not my favorite set list. Definitely some weird sound stuff out in the bleachers. Something was up with Ed's black telecaster. MFC and Betterman both seemed to be missing a string. That SIFL tag on B'Man was one of the better I've witnessed, though.
GTF, Black, I Got Shit, Won't Tell and RVM were terrific, but maybe Mike went a little too hard at the end of Black? I dunno, still some weird sound stuff out in the bleachers.
The new songs were noticeably sharper than the rest, in my opinion. I'm not a huge React fan, but that was ON POINT. Was super glad to get Won't Tell since I missed it the first time.
As mentioned previously, I was really hoping to not get Big Wave. Also, MYM... heard it enough. It's not as strong live as they think it is.
Sorry, I'm the 25-30+ shows, super picky guy now I guess?
I was lucky enough to attend 9/11/2022 at MSG... top 2-3 show I've ever been too. Unfortunately, my shows since then have left me wondering if I'm going to shell out the money going forward. Sacramento '24 and the last night of Ohana were.... OK.

On paper night 1 looks to be the better set.
Future Days is cringy but maybe it’s better as an Ed solo song?
Maybe next year I can go. I’ve been to two; one was wonderful, essentially idyllic. The other was ruined by one particular ass munch which makes festival shows luck of the draw more so than usual
