Not sure what you're complaining about. Robin Pecknold is about as badass as you can get as far as a young, talented musician covering your song.
I'm not sure I was complaining. The Pecknold performance was excellent. Context, mate, context.
the gaslight anthem, st. vincent, panic at the disco, aaron lewis, robin pecknold, limp bizkit, sugarland, willie nelson.

them are some "young and old" queuing up.
I'm afraid to ask.

Look, this started off because I said that a single performance during "PJ Week" might've been more interesting with someone else (other than Chris Cornell). That does not mean that everyone who has ever covered Pearl Jam was awful, but it does mean that Chris Cornell is kind of a lazy choice for this particular week.

It was an obvious one, but it was also really interesting because of the song. They share history with Chris specially with Footsteps.

Also, its a b side. And a great song too...

I get the reasons Chris sang it, I just would have liked a more surprising choice. I knew exactly what it sounded like before I'd heard it.

Are you some kind of wizard??

:haha:

I get you. I was still very curious about it, and it felt very special for me.

That was fucking cool. Same frantic energy to it. Like how they play it 2 steps higher too.

Loved Footsteps.
I love Fleet Foxes, but I turned off Corduroy before it was even over. Horrendous, IMO.

Just saw the Corduroy cover and I like Pecknold/Fleet Foxes but the instructive part was that it proved how difficult it is to play like Pearl Jam and sing like Ed.

In a roundabout way, solidified for me that Corduroy is probably their finest moment. What a fucking song.
