A Muppet Christmas Carol wouldn't stream on Disney+, so we had to watch Noelle. That's just Elf, but with Anna Kendrick. Her intro to the city was beat for beat Buddy arriving in NYC, but in Phoenix.

I fully understand that it's not a good movie. But Kendrick is so fucking good in this. It's kind of absurd. This is a C- film that her performance alone elevates to a B+.

Then you add in Bill Hader, Julie Hagerty and Shirley MacLaine?? Oh hell yes.

By the end I was all. The movie moved me, actually, even in spite of it's truly terrible low-budget VFX.

Watched The Holiday the other night. Despite it's flaws I get so amped to watch that every Christmas season. I goddamn love it.

So far watched Home Alone and Elf with my girls. Wasn't getting me into the spirit of things, so I'm now watching Sicario: Day of the Soldado

Well this is a short film but it's Christmassy:
