On that note, it's been way too long since All or None made an appearance in a live set.

I'd love to see that one return in 2013.

I listened to that boot once and never went back. I should try again. 2000 just had so many solid shows and this one didn't match up I thought.

Listening to:

07/23/06 – The Gorge Amphitheatre, George, WA, USA
set: Severed Hand, Corduroy, World Wide Suicide, Gods’ Dice, Animal, Do The Evolution, In Hiding, Green Disease, Even Flow, Marker in the Sand, Wasted Reprise, Better Man/(Save it for Later), Army Reserve, Garden, Rats, Whipping, Jeremy, Why Go
first encore: I Won’t Back Down, Life Wasted, Big Wave, Satan’s Bed, Spin the Black Circle, Alive
second encore: Given to Fly, Little Wing, Crazy Mary, Comatose, Fuckin Up, Yellow Ledbetter/(Star-Spangled Banner)
TFT Notes: coming soon!

If this and the night before were my last shows, i would have been satisfied.

Every song I'd ever wanted to hear (going back since 1994 with I Won't Back Down and 1995 with Little Wing) and they were just in a different zone musically, especially Stone, Jeff and Matt, at the end of that West Coast leg.

I'm not listening to it right now, but I just downloaded the Gorge boxset. I've never listened to any of this set. I might have heard some of the 06 shows but not the Eliason mixes in this boxet. No time to listen tonight but I'll bring them to work tomorrow and listen to some of it in the mobile newsroom while I organize the mess left over from the 4th of july broadcast.

I wish you could listen with something besides computer speakers, but that would be about any boot. You've heard SH, Corduroy, God's Dice, Animal llenty if times, but these are all "best of the PJ live in the 2000's"variety. Even a sing loke Green Disease is close to flying right off the tracks and the band is so tight, they ride it out.

Oh and just so you know, the songs are played a little faster ;)

I won't be listening on computer speakers. No way, no how.

The first Gorge show is my all-time favorite PJ experience. On the lawn, epic sunset, an almost perfect setlist and a show that was just amazing. Even the bootleg doesn't really translate what it was like to be there that night.

It was absolutely epic.

I didn't get to see the second show because I only had tickets for night 1 and I drove up from Portland for that show specifically, but I've never been disappointed that I missed the show (regardless of how good the boot of it is) because there was absolutely no way they were ever topping the first show for me.

One more thing about this show....they decided to end their biggest tour since 1992 with Fuckin' Up in a place like the Gorge. After the Canadian 05 tour and the smaller arena 2004 tour, I thought 7/23/06 was another sign of where we were all going, taking some more risks and focusing in on the hard-core fans more, even if it meant playing more shows to less people. They were just so good after touring so heavy for essentially 4 years in a row.

Things didn't turn out quite like I expected

i've been out of the pearl jam loop for years now. starting to get back in it. been listening to the atlanta 2012 boot since it was my first show. waited 10 years to see them. i thought it was a pretty good setlist considering it was a festival.

cheers!

I was at that show. You weren't the guy that was trying to fight with everyone in the audience, were you?

On a related note, this thread has been a gold mine for those of us who are only now building our bootleg libraries. Thanks, everyone.
