For three quarters I saw the Nuggets I've known and loved all season. Then they turned back into the timid team I've seen most of this series. I will be surprised if they can even stay close on Thursday.

Mark Jackson just sticking up for his guys. i wouldn't call it dirty play, but maybe a punk move.

anyway, yea...those guards for the Warriors can shoot light outs but they suck on defense.

i like this Bayless player with the Grizzz. sensational play to end the third quarter and absolutely no showboating/muscle flexing.

the odd thing is they interviewed jackson and asked how he would guard him and his reply was, im old school id knock him down and let him know enough is enough

i get that hes sticking up for his guy but funny that interview is played the same day he is going to complain that the nuggs were too rough with him

I just saw Mark Jackson's comments. I have a huge amount of respect for Jackson but please. This is just ref baiting to protect his guy in game 6. I just posted that I think the Warriors will win game 6 easily (and I'm a Nuggets fan), but coming from a guy who played for the Knicks in the '90's? "They sent Hit men?" Yeah, whatever. Notch down on the respect level.

Interesting, The Warriors are the exact inverse of the Pacers.

Mark Jackson is just doing his best Phil Jackson or Mike Krzyzewski. I don't doubt the Nuggets were hoping they could knock Steph Curry off his game, they can't defend him any other way.

All teams that are more skilled than physical react similarly.

I'm looking for the Warriors to roll in that game. The Oracle is a beast in the playoffs.

In other news, the Grizzlies defense is sublime.

No doubt. I was still hoping they could somehow win that series after being up 2-0. Memphis winning the west is becoming a more and more real possibility everyday. And it terrifies me.

how was that team with Gay? are they better without him?

seems like a guy that would take way too many shots.

Yeah, they're better without him in a quantifiable way, but at the same time if you believe in "clutchness" he definitely had that as well. So I wouldn't go so far as to say addition by subtraction, but it wasn't the blow some people were acting like it would be.

Also, I know the Celtics are old and broken, but I have to give major props to the Knicks. Melo is consistently making stupid shots look easy and the intensity the whole team has been playing defense with has really surprised me. I still think Miami is without a doubt the class of the east, but that series looks tougher to me now than it did a week ago. Hopefully I'm just completely wrong and the Celtics are so bad that the Knicks looking good against them doesn't mean anything.

All metrics point to them being better without him. Their offense struggles to produce points at times but their defense is just superb. Prince hit some pretty clutch shots last night and his length at the 3 creates some mismatches.

i think some it has to do with the Celtics being broken, no Rondo. but guys like Kidd, Shump, Prigs, and Martin have made a difference also.

for most of the season, JR was a model citizen...i mean, compared to what used to be.

then the elbow followed by that stupid tweet. looks like he has reached his ceiling for maturity. this game actually kind of scares me tonight.
