Agreed. I love when the Skers have an off week. I can just relax and enjoy games and not bitch about play calling.

Leon Lett, DeSean Jackson, and Danny Trevathan are all saying right now, "Hey, at least we weren't boneheaded enough to give up a 99 yard TD the other direction!"

Didn't see this until just now.
He is officially off the team.
Looking back, Sarkisian let it go. For our bowl game last year, Marques Tuiasosopo was the head coach and sat Peters for the first half. Guy (Peters) has issues and coach Petersen won't put up with it.
Clearly Peters had been on notice and clearly he is a selfish headcase dumbfuck. Cost himself a lot of dollar bills when it comes to his draft status. And cost the Huskies a fantastic cornerback that we don't have a replacement for.

I have an extremely annoying friend who lives and breathes CFB. His wife is a Miss State alum and he has jumped on that bandwagon hard. He also dick rides anything SEC even though he's a MIZZOU alum and they have no history or tradition with that conference yet. If MSU was any other team but his wife's he would be saying they are overrated... instead he attempts to straight faced make the case they are a legit number 1 and not just some team that managed a few average wins in a down SEC year...
In short... we have a bet on the Bama game next week and I sincerely hope the Tide crush him.
TCU needs to sneak into the playoff and win this whole thing...... just due to the simple fact there is not one 'elite' team out there this year but we still have been subjected to people propping up teams like MSU as something they are not...
Just some random thoughts on the season.
The end

Mississippi State deserves to be number one at this point. I have 'Bama winning next week though.

OK, so now with Ohio State beating Michigan State.
Do you remove Oregon who lost big to Arizona at home? Or is the loss to horrible Virginia Tech at home so galling and the schedule so light that the B1G doesn't get a team in this year?
Mississippi State has played as difficult a schedule as anyone and has won. I don't see anything not to like really. Dan Mullen is a great coach, they play excellent defense, they are senior laden and they have won the games in front of them. I've got no issue with that ranking, and Mizzou has been pretty solid since they've joined the SEC East. Haven't they won the East since they joined anyway?
FSU is living on Auburn luck this year.
I'd definitely include TCU.

LOL. The Big 10 is a joke.
Also, Oregon lost to AZ by one TD.

That's why I asked the question, because before that game, I wouldn't have had MSU in the 4 either, but ESPN will pimp that for the next Month, because the B1G brings eyeballs like no one else.
Oregon's offense can be amazing, but I don't buy their defense this year. Would love to see a first round playoff be Oregon vs TCU.

The Winston Student Disciplinary Hearing is pushed back until December the 1st. Meaning any punishment will be processed after Winston has declared himself a professional.
So if you care about that, there you go.

Tuned in to the local ABC channel to see if the news was on & it's pre-empted for Ohio St-Minnesota. Normally I wouldn't care but it's 15 degrees with snow showers. How I can not watch football in the snow? Needless to I'm hoping it coats the field before long.
While I'm in Atlanta my mom's side of the family is from Minnesota and I've been to the UM campus. It's neat to be able to say "I know where that" when I see a far away place on tv.

Minnesota was my fave Big Ten school before we (Huskers) joined. That stadium is gorgeous I think and Minneapolis is a blast. I'm gonna try and go next year. The Gopher jerseys today are rad as hell IMHO. Just always liked maroon and gold as a color combo.
I'm hoping Minnesota wins today and we can somehow win in Madison (don't think we will) that sets up a huge home game in Lincoln next week. One of the biggest in years with the division on the line. Minnesota is scrappy as fuck though. They play very physical and with a chip on their shoulder. Kill has done a great job trying to build something there and change the culture.

I'm looking forward to the battle for the Axe, that should be an awesome game.
Also, sorry about today's game, that looked decent enough in the first half and then...yikes.

Ugly loss for the big red. That was a woodshed beatdown.
Bo Pelini should have been relieved of his duties after the Iowa loss last year. He is not a bad coach but the Huskers will never be better than a 9 win and or 4 loss program with him as the head coach. No discipline or mental toughness whatsoever. We need to take a page out of the Wisconsin program book. Nasty offensive lines, team defense that plays as a unit with discipline and most of all QBs who manage the game.
Bo has a great background. He is a good defensive coach but it is also about the Jimmys and Joes not just the X's and O's....to take a phrase from Barry Switzer. Bo looked like a defensive mastermind when he had Suh, LaVonte David and Prince Amukamara. We have talent now (Randy Gregory will be a top 10 pick) but the time has come for a change. You are either getting better and moving toward something better, treading water or digressing.
