Hey LV, I'm also a big fan of movies based on historical events but that are embellished and over the top with the story. Have you seen "The Eagle"?
I have not. The trailers made it look pretty rough. But after seeing How I Live Now (same director), I kind of want to see it.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Hey LV, I'm also a big fan of movies based on historical events but that are embellished and over the top with the story. Have you seen "The Eagle"?
I enjoyed it. Just for the fact that if even a small amount of it was true, that is pretty cool.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I have not. The trailers made it look pretty rough. Yes. I think it's middle-of-the-road, but Peter Ustinov's performance is one of my all-time favorites. That guy is awesome.Iprefertheiroldstuff wrote:Have you seen Logan's Run, LV? Thoughts?

The Leprechaun series remains an untapped venture for me at this time.Dev wrote:Have you seen Leprechaun 4?

LV--As a teetotaler, are you especially disappointed in me?The Argonaut wrote:nvm, i drank too much at happy hour. see you tomorrow.LoathedVermin72 wrote:The Argonaut wrote:I'm watching Fearless Vampire Killers for the first time tonight.
All I can say is that the sweet visual intoxication of FVK is far more satisfying than any liquor. The Argonaut wrote:LV--As a teetotaler, are you especially disappointed in me?The Argonaut wrote:nvm, i drank too much at happy hour. see you tomorrow.LoathedVermin72 wrote:The Argonaut wrote:I'm watching Fearless Vampire Killers for the first time tonight.

I've never been able to get through it. I watched the first 30 minutes or so once and found it unbearable.E.H. Ruddock wrote:What are your thoughts on Dune?
I had a very similar experience last night with God Only Knows. Except I made it through the first hour. And I wouldn't say it was unbearable, but it was dull and useless. But (even as a straight man) Ryan Gosling is fun to look at, I suppose.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I've never been able to get through it. Wasn't there talk of a remake? I always thought the story had so much potential but yeah the movie is difficult.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I've never been able to get through it. I watched the first 30 minutes or so once and found it unbearable.E.H. Ruddock wrote:What are your thoughts on Dune?
