I just adore the trailer...the tone, amanda fuller, rick flaggs, harley, batman in that car...whats not to love here?
Exited to see a suicide squad movie...and Ayer 's visuals are great once again.

Does everyone's take on the Joker have a broadly similar voice. I only can really think of 4 (Leto's Ledger's, Hamil's, and Nicholson's) but they're all in the same ballpark (unless i"m not really recalling some of them properly)

Mostly they are just doing a more sinister riff on the Cesar Romero voice....except Jack who was just being Jack.

based only on deadshot i do not like how they are trying to humanize them. these are some evil despicable people who do not care about anything other than themselves (and money)

That explains that. Has anyone done a joker voice that is wildly different?

I wonder what Joker's role in this movie proper will be. It almost looks like he's only in it in flashbacks.

Why would you want to watch a movie about dehumanized props? Bad people are still people.

Mark Hamill would often add some British and other regional affectations but mostly they are pretty similar.

maybe youre not familiar with the source material but these guys really have no redeeming qualities to speak of. they are killers, whether for fun, for money or just because. most abandoned their families unless it somehow was able to further their agenda.

they are complete and non-remorseful sociopaths.

they are sociopaths that other sociopaths look at and get the creeps from

And Ayer choosing more human characterization is a bad thing?

I don't know Peeps a lot of those characters are bad people that someones do good things.

take deadshot...he gave up to the JLA crew when they were searching for sue dibnys killer. he knew it was a fight he could not win and swore up and down they had nothing to do with it.

harley - shed pull a kid from oncoming traffic just so he could fall down a manhole

Captain boomerang - only got to know his kid sincerely when he saw his kid had speed powers and could help carry on the family name

sure they are all capable of doing good deeds but at their heart they are evil. plain and simple and should be played up that way.

lets go save the world should have been, fuck i guess its up to us to save the world since noone gives a shit if we die

Okay, but why should the movie characterize them this way? Is that what you want? Is that good? Why can't the movie do its own thing? Wouldn't it be better if it does its own thing?

I think Harley is a little more complicated than that depending on the version/storyline. Killer Croc too. As far as I know Katana is a good guy....crazy but good. I get your gist though.
