Any chance they can get out for a while, Anders?

Just read this, The U.K. is imposing sanctions on five Russian banks - Rossiya, IS Bank, General Bank, Promsvyazbank and the Black Sea Bank - and three "very high net worth individuals" - Gennady Timchenko, Boris Rotenberg and Igor Rotenberg - freezing their assets in the U.K. and banning them from entering the country.

No. My sister in law did move to Norway, and met my brother a few years ago. Eventually I was the best man at their wedding in Kherson.

She has friends and family there, and it is unlikely they will leave. Her parents I know quite well. They are in their 70s, and have lived in Kherson their whole lives. Lovely people. They will never move.

Putin has asked the Duma to say yes to military force being used outside Russia’s borders. They will say yes.

Sorry for you and your family, Anders. Thanks for the Finland perspective thread. Hopefully this can still play out in a way that spares lives, but I feel foolish to think so.

The White House has now announced that they do in fact view Russia's action in these seperatist regions as "an invasion." Here come the sanctions, not sure that's enough to avert an escalation.

Biden has announced the US sanctions on VEB, Russia’s military bank & their sovereign debt (I have no idea how that's a thing).

Russian individual sanctions to be announced tomorrow.

The winning move is to invade Kamchatka. They've moved almost all their Eastern Units to Ukraine, it'll practically be uncontested!

A land grab war is far more justifiable. That would be in our interests. Manifest Destiny.

The kingdom of Cuba is to be inherited by Trudeau when Raul Castro dies.

There's no reason for westward expansion to stop at the Pacific.
