Made by an old man.
Who made us wait for years to get it.
If he dies and leaves a note about how funny it was fucking us around, he will become my new favorite director.
Back to the important stuff, though. By which I mean my idea.
Palpatine even reveals his great prank to Anakin while they're basically watching a space movie that is just total visual nonsense. And then he makes a face like "Jesus Christ kid why do you not get that I'm fucking with you?"
Pictured: George Lucas wonders when you will realize that he does not give a shit about your Star Wars, sucker.

I've been convinced of George Lucas's feeling about my or anyone else's Star Wars for a long, long time now.

No human facial expression has ever more clearly wondered "why are you still here?"

If RM was the prequels, who would be the Emperor? Who would be making that face right now?

Is it not a bit odd or at leas telling that someone knew what was on screen in the sports bar?
I couldn't have guessed if asked for a million dollars

I was watching the movie. And the scene made it obvious they wanted the viewer to see the robot American football

Then, later in that movie, I got to see amidala jump down onto the back of some creature that Anakin was riding, during a life or death situation, and give him a peck on the cheek. Jesus this was the worst of the three prequels by a lot

I wish they would do some origin type movies of some of the "elders" in the prequels. Qui Gon, Dooku, Yoda, etc.

Worst than Menace? Yeah, the cast is boring and wooden, the love scenes are amateurish at best, but the finale is pretty cool.

I think the finale LOOKED cool when I first saw it, but in hindsight it just felt like the whole movie was based around having the shot of 100 jedi with lightsabers.

I still maintain that TPM is the best of the prequels by a significant margin.
