You ever seen PJ at Key Arena in Seattle? My god the "sound" in that place..




Radiohead consistently has the best sound of any band I've seen, no matter the venue. Even when they played Key Arena it was passable, and light years above PJ there.

Key Arena is the worst. And at the 09 shows they didn't even sell beer.

I've been using plugs like these for about a decade now and they are fantastic - not only for protection but for 'sharpening' the sound by removing a lot of the fuzz and muddiness

You can hear an excerpt of my first Radiohead show (8/8/01) on the "I Might Be Wrong" EP. It's the only instance where I can honestly say that I remember the sound in the room being better than the soundboard recording! Man, what a night that was.

My first Radiohead show (8/8/01), my first Frogs show (4/3/99) and my first Ween show (1/30/98) were all life-changing experiences. The downside to picking such doozies as first shows, was that it was downhill from there in all three instances. But I still have my memories, and thankfully the bootlegs to back them up.

Aren't ear plugs usually disposable (I sleep with them, but they're the cheap CVS ones). Or would you buy a pair of high end ear plugs and just wash them or something.

You would wash them. My dad had a pair like this from his time in the Army.

I have a professional set from an audiologist and I have to rinse them every so often. They are shaped to each canal and I have a -15db diffuser.

They aren't PJ themed though.

I've had a pair of Etymotic ER20s for years, this has prompted me to order a new pair of the ER20XSs in advance of the Black Sabbath show next month.
