Hey stip. this night three years ago I looked over my shoulder to see you flailing and giving the fixer your full throated and reckless support in Brooklyn.

Those were two good gigs.
That was three years ago already? Christ.

Were you there too??

Someone make a case for Given to Fly.

Why is everyone so sure they'll play it? Lotta you guys are guessing it'll be GtF.

This with BMan.

There's no way NAIS will be played. Nor HtI.

I was there on the second night, yeah.

Stip was nice enough to offer me his extra ticket when he first scored them. But I thought I could get them through another source so I didn't take him up on it. I ended up getting a last minute ticket but my source fell through. Wish I'd taken Stip up on his offer. That would have been so much fun.

But, will they let Krusen play drums on Alive or play some other song from Ten for him to play on. I say there's no way in Hell Matt DOESN'T play on Alive.

Porch with Dave Krusen would be a good closer

I can't imagine Krusen playing. They haven't played with him in 25 years, and I don't see them rehearsing with him to play a song that MC can play as well or better. (If they felt obligated, they could have him join in for RITFW.)

If you compare this situation to what happened with Nirvana, it's really fucking weird. The only Nirvana drummer inducted was Grohl - it's not like Aaron Burckhard got inducted because he was a founding member. And Nirvana was inducted coinciding with the release of the "Love Buzz" single, which was Channing.

If PJ had simply hired a studio drummer to record Ten, would that guy have been inducted? That's essentially all Krusen contributed to the band.

There's certainly room for them to change their mind. In Channing's case, unfortunately, the change went the opposite direction - initially, they announced that he would be inducted.

One thing that bugs me - is it possible the band didn't know this was happening? They haven't released a statement, which makes me wonder if they're either working on it somehow, or really don't give a shit about PR. Playing "Angel" this year made me wonder if they might have been trying to make a light reconciliation with him - if they knew this was happening and didn't give him a heads-up, it's just shitty. (I'm judging by his reaction that this was a surprise to him.)

HOF: "If those other drummers are worthy of induction, how come you barely mentioned them in your documentary?"

I cannot imagine that the band won't play something "new". My guess:

1. Sirens
2. Even Flow
3. Better Man
4. Alive
5. RITFW (as already mentioned - jam with everyone)

Btw - if the HOF has any say, then they're clearly playing "Last Kiss". It is their most successful single.

Pretty certain Dave Krusen still plays alive with candlebox or something. And I recall seeing a couple of interviews or i-store performances where he plays even flow or alive or something. Im sure they would be just fine not rehearsing and playing.

If they get 3 songs, it's a pretty sure bet Alive and Better Man get played. After that, not so sure. Other than those two, what non-cover do most laypeople associate with Pearl Jam? Daughter? Jeremy? Even Flow?

So much fun. Then would have met me. And that would have ended.

It would have then been super turbo fun!!

What's odd is that he still seems mystified by it all. He hasn't been afforded any closure (or so it seems).
