I hated Resurrection, too. The best part was the scientist duo that was parodied in KoRn's 'Somebody Someone' video some two years later. Is Weaver a shitty actress? She kinda seems like a shitty actress.
I also watched Prometheus again. What a stunning film. The Charlie and Merideth characters are awful but I love basically everything else about it, plot holes and clumsy astronauts be damned.

She is brilliant yeah.
She come up with a sort of character that was new for a woman back then...think about Ghostbusters for example..A girl who lives alone in the big city and is smarter than Bill Murray...Think about Working Girl. She is the boss.
And or course Ripley kicking ass right from the first movie.
