Financial District / Battery Park is one of the best locations if you’re just visiting and trying to hit multiple spots in the five burroughs. Tons of subway access, plus the ferry terminal. Plenty of grab and go breakfast spots too.

Very little in the way of fun things to actually do, but much like Culver City, it’s safe, centrally located (relative to transit), and easy to enter/exit multiple times a day if you find you have to pop back to your room for some reason.
