I guess it’s become increasing difficult to find a papal candidate that is fully absolved of any sins related to covering up sexual abuse.

I’ve been thinking about some exciting trips lately! One that stands out is to explore Egypt. I had the chance to do that a few years ago, and it was unforgettable. The early mornings spent cruising down the Nile, with the sun rising over the ancient temples, felt like stepping into another time. The warmth of the people and the incredible history all around made it an experience I’ll never forget.

Lisbon is great so far.

Everyday is leg day - lots of uphill walking. It’s not that bad.

Most of the people who live here aren’t actually from here…or so we’ve learned from talking to people.

This was interesting to read about Lisbon and tourism: https://english.elpais.com/internationa ... ccess.html

"The Lisbon that has lost about 30% of its population since 2013. The Lisbon where 60% of the dwellings are tourist apartments. If the pace of the expulsion of locals does not stop, in a few years tourists will only be able to see each other when they climb the Alfama."

we’re actually staying in Alfama, so this makes even more sense.

it’s our last night in Lisbon. we’ve had a great time. sad to leave, honestly.

we had no expectations, and were pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had, how good our meals and drinks were, and how lovely the people are.

on to Paris…
