Follow up: I am relatively certain I like Ghost Riding even better. Seeing the progression from Acts to Ghost Riding to Jeff Ament’s Heaven/Hell, I sure hope that Gigaton has a ton of his influence on it. I enjoy those three albums probably more than Backspacer and Lightning Bolt.

the official release of Golden State with Natalie Maines sounds like crap. or maybe that's just me? it just sounds so tinny, like they were recording in a tin shed with tin microphones and using tin wires.

Right or wrong, i feel like bashing ed and stone over this wait and pop. Im even a little pissed at the coolest one, mike. Mike could have took the bench on anything dotc related. I might never listen to dotc and its dick lyrics again. They need to put a 'rock' single out quick.

1. The outro to "In My Tree" (with the descending guitar harmonies) is the best use PJ have made of the 3-guitar arrangement.
2. The best thing Jack Irons brought to Pearl Jam was his playing on ballads -- the cushion he provided for songs like "Wishlist" and "Off He Goes" was completely lost when Matt took over and stuffed rigid 4/4 rock beats up those songs' respective tailpipes.
3. Every time I listen to a live version of "Even Flow," I always find myself hoping Mike will play the last four bars the same way he did on Ten, and he never does.
