The new album is fantastic. It rocks. It’s angry. It’s got swagger. It's moody. It’s got a heart. It’s got a sense of humor. Pearl Jam just stoked the fire that burns in a lot their fans with this album. I can’t wait for the release so I can hear it again, so more people can hear it. And can't wait to see this album live.

Thank you Ten Club for a great day!

PS - I wish I were like that guy in Germany who was able to strum out Sirens for us and be able to play Infallible. The back to back tracks of Infallible & Pendulum are good guys. Really good.
My fathers son - Fantastic. Can't wait to hear it again and take a look at the lyrics. This felt very angry to me. And Sirens follows it which lyrically felt like a 180. Infallible - Incredible. Pendulum - Amazing. Yellow moon - Awesome.
I neeeeeeed this now.

Attention international rmer: your American counterparts, having learned from an early age that learning another language means you hate your country, only speak English and require full translations of any foreign review.

Thank you, and God a Bless America

I think this is today. I dunno whether it'll be the entire rest of the interview or excerpts or what though.

I'm not sure who mentioned it, but somebody said that it's possible the band just gave the press digital access to the album via some website, which is why we got those 4 leaked files. If that's the case, we probably won't get a leak at all.

Okay, let's do this.
Berlin/Seatte - Being 23 years into their career Pearl Jam recorded an album that is a mix of all their strengths.
Jeff Ament tweeted "It's a good thing to wait until we have the feeling that we have something to say." "They're
fully back having this killer-instinct" Brenand O'Briend says about Pearl Jam while presenting their new album in Berlin.

"I think they've managed to create one of their best works. Eddie Vedder's lyrics are intense." BO'B tells in an
interview with the APA. "My attitude while working with a great singer is wanting him to express himself
as good as possible. If I managed to help Eddie with this I'm happy. He's singing really well on this record."

"We're a band more than ever before. The room inbetween is doing us a favor" Vedder says in an interview
with the Rolling Stone implying the 4 years between Backspacer and Lightning Bolt and the solo activities of
every band member. "It's just like with every great band", BO'B says, "How the singer is doing is how the band is
doing. Eddie is feeling generally better. He's doing a great job, he has a family. And he still has a lot to say."

"Lightning Bolt" starts with a stomping rock song ("Getaway") followed by the agressive and punky "Mind Your Manner".
"Sirens", the new single, is a hymnic ballad of which Mike McCready is really proud as he mentioned in a
promo video. (http://go.apa.at/Qig2dyxO). Ament says: "I still know how Ed performed the song after working
on it all night. I could almost hear the sirens he is singing about. We were in LA where sirens where going off
every five to ten minutes. It was really cool being a witness to something that inspired him so write lyrics."

"Infallible" is a midtempo song with a nice groove. "My Father's Son" is a really hard song reminiscent of the time
of Vs. Guitar parts are escalating every now and then, piano sounds are shimmering in the melancholic "Pendulum".
"Sleeping By Myself" having already appeared on Eddie Vedder's "Uke Songs" appears in a lively folk-pop version
and it was O'Brien's concern to have this song on the record: "I thought it was a Pearl Jam song that ended up
on a solo record. I wanted to hear the band version."

It was the bands concern to finish "Pendulum". A raw version of the Ament song was done for "Backspacer".
"I didn't remember the song song but the it lay at the heart of the band." O'Brien mentions. "We rerecorded
the drums and the vocals and added a few things."

:nice:

I'm just way too excited at this point. I can see an inevitable crash of disappointment coming and this last three months not being worth it. I've put an inhuman amount of time into anticipating this thing and I need to stop.

I can't help but think that whenever someone says "The guitar parts are great", what they mean is "I can hear some guitar."

I was really struggling with that translation. It's the word "ausufern" which also could be translated as "getting out of hand" or "to overflow".

It will probably end up totally different. I would have never guessed to like Getaway that much and now it's one of my favorites.
