So, last ride guys. Last ride.
Yeah, it was basically the movies for me. I read a few of the early books (heir to the empire trilogy, shaodws) but nothing stuck. I received most of my SW enjoyment from the movies (OT in particular) and a little bit with the SW RPG from West End Games.
So this is kinda like the last chapter in a lifelong saga.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX (2019)
title rumor (LOL)
It's LOL-worthy. Can you imagine saying that at the theater. "I'd like to tickets to ___________"
Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever said the titles to request tickets. I've just said "Star Wars"

Once you get into books, comics, TV, I feel it complicates the SW universe.

I didn't see most of it. Just some of the bellyaching about The Last Jedi ruining Luke as a character.VinylGuy wrote:I never saw or read any of that. Re: Star Wars: Episode IX (2019)
I know we don't like to think about marketing/social media/hits in relation to art and all of that but that's the world we live in.
The title will likely have a "keyword" in it for internet search/social media purposes. "Force" and "Jedi" were both used in the previous films. Great buzz/keywords for marketing tie-in purposes and search engine ease. I fully expect this one to also have a major Star Wars "buzzword" in it.
I imagine with how hard they've been hitting "conclusion of the Skywalker Saga" that there's a more than decent chance that "Skywalker" will appear in some form. Something like "The Fate of the Skywalkers" or maybe "The Skywalker Legacy." Something in that arena is my official guess.
But we'll find out in 2 days!

Should I have ST make up an official predictions template?Monkey_Driven wrote:Prediction: Skywalker will not be in the title.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX (2019)
Yeah, it'll be a mixed bag, for sure. I really don't care what the title is. They could just call it Episode 9 and I'd be fine. Or keep that working title. Or call it Fuck You, Shitbag. Whatever. The title isn't the movie, knowwhatImean?Strat wrote:I have no idea what the title is going to be but im sure exactly half will hate and the rest will love.
