Interesting take. What I heard was, in order to defeat Trump we should put forth a candidate who isn't an extreme leftist pusing policies that will never pass in today's divisive environment. But you keep on Twitterin' Burt.
Yeah we all heard the moderator finally interrupt his stream of bullshit to help him finally get to the point.

It's funny because for all the supposed "free thinkers" on this board, all I see are people parroting sound bytes from their Twitter feeds. As long as it's not the "lamestream media" telling you what to think it's OK I guess?

if you are going to go Corporatist/Moderate - at least go for Bloomberg, an accomplished Corporatist - and not Butti, a 8th-tier wannabe.
Consultants are basically high-end temp workers. That's a far cry from actually building and leading a corporation. Butti is employee-class. Bloomy is Chairman & CEO
I see that your boy got that coveted John cougar Melloncamp endorsement.

Still plenty of seats aboard this train. Bon Jovi probably already on board, just waiting to give Bernie a chance. Once Bruce falls in line, you know it's on.

i mean, wow
from zero to 'dog faced' in less than 5 seconds
and now i have to google 'pony solder' to find out what that reference means (probably something related to WWI)

from the internet
and
In the context, it seems to be an insult, which doesn't have to mean anything, just sound bad. The Daily Caller says “So, apparently Biden has used this ‘dog-faced pony soldier’ phrase before, but about Republicans. It’s allegedly from a film where an Indian chief tells John Wayne: ‘This is a lying dog-faced pony soldier,'” Weinberger tweeted, adding a query for verification. “However, haven’t been able to verify that line. Any John Wayne experts?
so basically he called this lady a gringo
i wonder if he started reaching for a butterfly knife
that would have
really brought be back on board

Guys, it is getting easier by the day now that I've accepted that the democrats are going to lose. My anger went from being mad that Trump will be president again, to angry that the dems don't see the failure potential of their disorganization, to a lucid "zoning out". Four more years and then it will get better, as long as we survive the coronavirus.

There is a loooong way to go, guys. Let's not forget that in 2016, the economic metrics (good economy, low unemployment) were seen as a benefit to the incumbent party, and that the GOP was on its way to nominating someone who couldn't possibly win.
Democrats have a couple things going for them this time.
1. No one named Clinton in this race. Some of the candidates have been around a while, but none have been in the spotlight as long as she was, giving people 30 years to solidify their opinion.
2. "Younger people don't vote". Except that some of them do, and they age like everyone else, which means turnout increases each cycle. The 2018 midterm was the first national election where GenX + Millennial had a higher share of the vote than Boomers. This train only moves in one direction.
We've had two presidents in a row that seemed unlikely to win a year out. Lots of general election voters will take note of the primary winner in June, but won't really start paying attention until the end of summer.
