Interesting. I think the band was outgrowing his style which I can kind of hear in songs like nothing man, immortality, and of course no code.

the drums on nothingman are awesome (stone's personal favorite)

and the guy who played WMA is definitely capable of playing on No Code

I’m not saying he’s not capable. I’m saying I don’t think he wanted to be in THAT Pearl Jam. He mentioned in the interview he didn’t think they wanted to be “that band” not arena rock band.

He has also once said he liked pearl jam “when they were a rock band”
