I usually love their smokestack (their BBQ last year was awesome), but that one was chalky, thin, and pretty rancid. one of their rare misses.Monkey_Driven wrote:I haven't had that one. every wednesday, the shop down on the corner gets a case of zombie dust (4 6ers). the regulars know when it comes in and snatch them up. well today, i guess they didn't shine around, so i'll be getting drunk on zombie dust this evening.

I wonder if you got a bad bottle. It's not my favorite of the Smokestack series by any stretch, but the one time I had it certainly wasn't chalky or rancid. That is currently the only brew I will buy a case of where I am not standing at the brewery. It is damn fine yet again this year.Looking to hit a bottle release around 8:30ish tomorrow morning, time to pick out a new book.
