I'm saying I like the guy. I just don't think he's as good as others do. He's a better director than JJ Abrams. But I enjoy JJ's films more than Martin's over the last 7/8 years. Big whoop.

The Departed is a modern masterpiece. DiCaprio was criminally denied the Oscar.

Also, After Hours is fucking great.

Got sucked into "The Wrestler" on IFC tonight.

He wasn't even nominated (Blood Diamond instead). I'm afraid that this movie will be outdated in a few years with the whole texting action, or maybe not. It's just so heavily concentreaed on cell phones. And I'm wondering whether it deerved best Adapted Screenplay. Don't get me wrong though, I enjoyed the film immensely. It's just that it has waned on me over the years.

I appreciate Aronofsky delving into that world of not only professional wrestling, but the world of professional wrestling "has beens". In real life it has been fucking tragic for some of those guys.
