The way he was begging for her endorsement earlier in the year, this was inevitable.

That's gonna end very very badly for him.

she should show up to the convention unannounced (her last show until october is tonight) and personally address and mock this, and then throw her support behind kamala.

That would be something to see.

I don’t think it would have the impact you want it to have

No idea what impact I want it to have really. Just to piss Trump off I guess. But getting up in the morning seems to do that to him these days, so I'm pretty satisfied on that front more often than not.
I do however want to see more younger "influencer" types wear their hearts on their sleeves from a US political perspective. You guys run elections like a year-long superbowl with teams and colours and flags and shirts and crazy fuckers everywhere. It would be good to see which team the fabulous and famous support.

Well no doubt that would happen! But I don't think it's suddenly going to pull in some key demographic aligned with their strategic electorate map; more likely it'll push moderates away who are sick of celebrities telling them how to vote.

1. I agree that there would be some of this in response for sure.
2. I disagree that there would be much, though, and I don’t think it would move any needle in any direction. People already committed to voting Harris would get a dopamine fix, and that’s about all that would happen.
3. I always feel embarrassed for people who say they were turned off voting for someone because they don’t like celebrities telling them how to vote. Do they ever realize that this makes them the only group whose vote was influenced by the celebrities? What a self-own.
4. It wouldn’t matter anyway, because the above comments are right about one thing: Donald Trump would immediately pitch a huge fit and make it about himself. Before anybody had time to say or think anything about the swift appearance, a huge wave of weird shit Trump posted or said about it would take up all of the conversation.
