That first verse of inside job is pretty awful, but I unabashedly love the “life comes from within…” Like LBC, the delivery really sells me on the sentiment despite how bad the words might look on paper

Yeah that last part is pretty great. The vocal delivery with the build up and that lovely riff.

Ok MYM might not be his worst lyrics but they’re definitely the cheugiest

I could see how this new album could be described as Riot Act-esque due to the fact it is the last album that actually sounded like everyone was in the same room.

Yeah, Inside Job isn't great lyrically.

I find a lot of my favorite and least favorite EV lyrics come more in "individual line" form than "full song" form. But for full songs, I've always liked "Nothingman" and "Man of the Hour." Least favorite, "MYM" and "Getaway" are both strong contenders.

Lyrically it could be most of the stuff in LB.

I agree that most of my favorite Eddie moments are individual lyrics - I don't know how much he edits himself and so even when there is great flow in the lyrics a line or two will sneak in. I don't know which Pearl Jam song has my absolute favorite lyrics. But Man of the Hour may be my favorite opening couplet.

the song that comes to mind as my favourite both musically and lyrically is Corduroy, it's just about perfect

Corduroy is absolutely a contender for one of the best lyrics if not the best.

I find the albums with the best lyrics overall are No Code and, surprisingly, Gigaton. From the latter Comes Then Goes and Who Ever Said are standouts, and from the former In My Tree and Off He Goes have some of the best lyrics. Other songs that stand out for me lyrically are Insignificance, Jeremy, Black, and Immortality.
