He can still act. Be nominated. Win.

He just can’t attend.

It’s all so dumb. Everything.

Enough with award shows please

That seems fair to me. He struck a person at the event, so he shouldn't be allowed to attend future events.

I agree with washing machine. On the surface (the north), 10 years sounds like a long time. But who cares I know I don't.

Will will be killed in a Masonic ritual in 7 years, upon which the "Oscars" will cease

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

in a cruel twist of fate, YouTube recommended me this comedian

this is a good example of a comedian working the crowd; she makes sure that the two people she "picks" are interested and laughing with her before she carries on; and then she has a back and forth conversation with them, increasingly confident that everyone is laughing together

there's consent involved

she doesn't just pick someone, say something quick about their appearance to amuse herself and then move on (low-level comedy and arguably bullying)

Chris Rock was only allowed five minutes though.

sounds like this girl could get done in 6 minutes what Chris Rock would need half an hour to do; she's quick

I guess I feel like if you only have 5 minutes, don't even attempt to "work the crowd", it's not long enough

Rock had 27 seconds, and of course it’s common for presenters in his role to play off something in the crowd. This was not an apt comparison at all.
