Now that doesn't mean it has to be anyone's favorite. It isn't mine (I have it at #3). But it is, to my ears, undeniable. And, if I'm being totally honest, I think the fact that it's so goddamn good is what makes it hard for people to rank. Because if you're tastes usually run counter to it, or if you also really like No Code or Binaural, you feel like there's some kind of cognitive dissonance. But it's not that's sort of a weird mind trap. That isn't the case. Both can be true.

There's always a lot of talk about favorite v best and whether or not such a thing exists. And I get all that. Riot Act and Vitalogy speak to me in a way that Ten doesn't. But neither of those are perfect albums. So... *shrugs*
