My country is having its abortion referendum in May. Far from the good hearted well supported referendum to pass marriage equality in 2015 and perhaps weaponised by it passing, the very worst are already out campaigning against it, and bots and US financial support and all the horrific shitstorm that happens around the abortion debate.

If abortion is allowed, will there be any limit as to how far into the pregnancy it is allowed? The U.S. is one of a handful of countries that allows late term abortions, and Democrats here made a stink about trying to limit it to 20 weeks or earlier.

What sayeth Ireland on late term abortions?

12 weeks is the number. After that only under severe circumstances. But they haven’t even defined or outlined the replacement legislation yet so the anti crowd are running wild saying it’ll be abortion on demand and were legalising genocide etc.
