Man, most of my timeline was goofing on this thing when the first two episodes dropped precisely because of the filmmaking. The split isn't fawning adulation / virulent racists. There's people who legit don't like it.

I'm all caught up. Watched both tonight. It was ok. I left feeling that I'd wish they put more into one big movie on the big screen. Some of the effects looked a little too fake. Ewan is great though. It's worth watching because of him.

Reeva and the fifth brother fighting for power is gold
Vader playing the inquisitors off against each other is smart
Not sure exactly how ObiWan got away when Vader showed he could put the flames out 30 seconds before
Reeva finding Leia takes it up a notch

Good episode. Still some trite prequel-ass dialogue like “you should have killed me when you had the chance”
